Adobe Font Finder

Adobe Font Finder

I found Adobe’s Font Finder online tool while searching the web for fonts today. It has potential to replace it’s book counterparts. It’s not as intuitive as some of the books on the market, Rookledge’s Classic International Typefinder for example. However, with a little time and effort it could be well on it’s way. It’s decent in it’s current rendition; I suggest giving it a go on your next project and see what it recommends you to use.

Organize Pantone Colors on your iPhone or iPad

myPantone

Pantone has released myPantone, an app for iPhone and iPad (shown above). It allows you to organize and choose color sets and push your creates color libraries to Creative Suite.

With the app you get access to all the standard PMS libraries and you can capture colors with the iPhone camera. If you really want to get crazy you can add GPS coordinates to your color palettes.

The app has excellent reviews in the Apple App Store. Check it out for yourself! This could easily be the one reason why you need to get an iPad after all…

Done Any Web Development Lately?

Web Development Project Estimator

The folks at Astuteo have a nice little web development estimate creator over in their neck of the woods. It’s a great little tool, especially for anyone just starting out that might be a little confused about how much to charge and how to justify the price.

It’s simple, type in your default hourly rate, or enter the rate in manually for each area and figure up how many hours it will take to finish the project and viola! Instant estimate in a print-ready format.

Thanks, Astuteo.

The Brainstormer

Brainstormer

The illustrator Andrew Bosley has created a fun little gadget for anyone in a design block. Just give The Brainstormer a spin and see what comes up. Even if it doesn’t spark the next big idea you’re sure to get a good laugh.

Page Capture Widget

Page Capture Widget

The Page Capture Widget for Apple’s Dashboard is really handy. You will no longer have to take multiple screenshots and link them together using Photoshop again. It’s extremely simple. Just copy and paste the URL and it does the work. A screenshot appears on your desktop in seconds.
